Photoshop

To create my ancillary products of the digipak and magazine advert I have used Photoshop. Having used Photoshop previously I am more confident with this software, such as how to place margins on the page to align my work; however I have still learned more about Photoshop and the features possible during this process. I have enjoyed learning and developing my knowledge of Photoshop throughout this process, such as the effect of lowering the opacity through the tool of editing the effect of the photo. This has allowed me to expand my Photoshop skills and also to create more visually interesting and in-depth products. I have also utilised the use of typical Photoshop conventions such as text, colour and placing the image onto the page. Cropping has been particularly useful in creating my digipak (as shown by the front cover) demonstrating how the more common Photoshop tools are very useful and helpful in creating my product. Photoshop also links up well with the Canon 5D Mark II, which I also used to take the main images for my ancillary products. Again, I was able to create good quality photo’s/images that I was happy with to use via Photoshop onto my work, the SD card and memory card reader were also very helpful here allowing me to transfer images taken on the camera and SD card onto the computer and then onto Photoshop. Photoshop was also able to compliment Blogger, as saving my images as a JPEG file on Photoshop enabled me to be able to upload my products onto Blogger with ease. Photoshop connecting and pairing well with my other media technologies has been very helpful, allowing me to create and present my ancillary products with more ease and within a schedule
